addedSince release, I’ve noticed that many players initially perceived Axona as something closer to a mobile-style experience. While that wasn’t the intention behind the game, perception matters a lot on a crowded storefront like Steam, and it directly affects how willing new players are to give a game a chance. Compared to other indie titles in a similar scope, Axona’s price ended up being a barrier for some players who might otherwise enjoy it.
changedBecause of this, and after careful consideration, I’ve decided to lower the price of the game. The goal isn’t to devalue Axona, but to better align it with the expectations of the audience it’s trying to reach, and to stay competitive in today’s indie market.
changedIt has been over six months since release, and I hope those of you who bought the game at a higher price will understand my reasoning. Thanks to everyone who has played, reviewed, or shared the game so far. Every bit of visibility helps more than you might think.
