Avakin Life changes
Steam post imageWe’re rolling out a set of PC-focused upgrades designed to make Avakin Life smoother, cleaner, and more expressive than ever. Built directly from player feedback, these updates put more control in your hands.
Here’s what’s coming 👇
🖥️ UI Scaling — Play Your Way
Avakin’s UI was built for mobile, but PC players deserve more flexibility.
With UI Scaling, you can adjust the interface to match your setup and playstyle. Reduce the UI size to open up the screen and immerse yourself in the world, or keep it larger for comfort and readability.
What this gives you:
More control over how the game looks on PC
Increased screen space for scenes and social moments
A cleaner, more immersive experience without sacrificing usability
We’ve also added the ability to adjust the chatbox height, giving you more control over how chat fits into your screen whether you want to see more conversation or keep it compact while exploring.
UI Scaling is applied only where it improves gameplay. Key screens like Travel and Store landing pages remain unchanged for clarity.
The UI Scaling update is planned for an early March release.
😊 Emoji Keyboard — Say More in Chat
Chat is getting a major upgrade.
We’re adding an Emoji Keyboard for PC, making it faster and easier to express yourself in conversations, just like on mobile.
What’s included:
Full mobile emoji set
Easy-to-browse emoji categories
Emoji search
Recently used emojis
No shortcuts. No workarounds. Just more expressive, seamless chat.
The emoji keyboard is planned for an early March release.
🎮 New & Improved PC Movement — Smoother, More Natural Play
Smoother Camera Movement
Smoother Movement on Stairs
Movement on PC is getting a serious polish pass.
We’re improving our PC movement controls, focusing on stability, responsiveness, and overall feel, so navigating Avakin Life feels smoother and more natural.
What’s improved:
More stable character movement
Better collision handling
Improvements for handling stairs
Smoother, more responsive camera movement
Various PC-specific bug fixes
Once these improvements are live, more scenes will be released with PC movement controls enabled, expanding where you can freely explore using PC controls.
PC movement improvements and bug fixes are coming in early February, with more improvements on the way after that.
We’re continuing to actively investigate reported issues and will keep fixing bugs and refining the PC experience as we go, based on your feedback. Including fixes for some achievements!
⚠️ Please note: Release timing is an estimate and may change as we continue testing and refining these updates.
Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming. We’re building a better PC experience together 💜
