After careful consideration, I have decided to rework the horde meter mechanic to hopefully make it feel less frustrating.

Horde Meter Rework

  • Filling the horde meter no longer starts a countdown, and the player can no longer directly die due to the horde meter being full.

  • While the horde meter is above 33% (yellow), the hero will be afflicted by a new debuff, Riled Up.

  • While the horde meter is above 66% (red), the hero will be afflicted by a new debuff, Seeing Red.

New Debuffs

  • Riled Up: Attacks from enemies deal 50% more damage.

  • Seeing Red: Enemies attacks have a 50% chance to pierce evasion and armor.

  • Mushroom cloud explosions and spike traps are unaffected by these debuffs.

Hopefully these changes will create a more fun experience for the player. As always, I will be closely monitoring feedback to determine if this mechanic requires further reworking.

Thank you for playing Auto Cast, and let me know what you think about these changes in the discussion under this post!
