The creatures of AstroMole

I've been working hard throughout April to get some interesting creatures in the game and thought you might like to hear about some of them. I'll give you some tips to deal with them too!

UFO Bandits These UnFriendly Objects tend to group up together to ambush any lifeforms unfortunate enough to cross paths. You'll encounter two types of UFO Bandit when flying through space:

Shotty Steam post image

These guys will charge their energy beam and fire at you periodically. They need to time to recharge between shots, so striking with your drill attack during this opening is the best way to take them down.

Chasey Steam post image

These dastardly devices will chase you relentlessly through space once they've spotted you. Use you advantage in speed to make enough of a gap between you and launch a drill attack.

ShellHogs Steam post image

They may look friendly, but they're prickly in both personality and touch! They patrol planets endlessly, confident of the protection their needle covered shells afford them.

Good thing they've never dealt with a Mole before! Your drill attacks won't work, but striking them in their vulnerable under-bellies from underground will!

Fanatics They say these cultist groups worship a forest god in their own "unique" way. By unique, they mean protecting the forest from any creatures they don't recognise by attacking on sight! There are two types, often seen together:

Acolytes Steam post image

The smaller ones are simple creatures. They see a target, they start charging! Use your jetpack to get the upper hand and drill attack them from the air!

Shamans Steam post image

These bearded weirdos have mastered some form of sorcery by drawing power from the forest. They'll hurl their incantations at you periodically, taking breaks in between to prepare for another sling. Use this opening to introduce them to your drill attack!

Lizaral Steam post image

Tales have been told of Lizards made of pure mineral. Other tales have been told about how quickly they scamper off at the slightest hint of danger!

If you should you be lucky enough to not only encounter one, but also land an attack on one? They say you'll be awarded handsomely with riches...
