Hey everyone,
We have a lot to talk about today, and we want to be completely transparent with you about what has been happening behind the scenes.
🌍 What Happened Behind the Scenes
As many of you may know, most of our art team is based in Iran, while I (the main developer), one concept artist, and the animators are located elsewhere.
Over the past year there have unfortunately been several major events in that region:
The war in June 2025
The protests in December 2025
And now another ongoing war this month
During these events the internet in Iran was completely shut down multiple times.
Because of this we suddenly lost contact with most of our art team, and currently it has been more than 10 days without being able to reach them.
Overall, these disruptions caused us to lose nearly 3 months of production time on art side.
However, every time the internet temporarily returned, the team continued working remotely and pushed progress forward. Their dedication has honestly been incredible.
Right now communication is still limited, but we truly hope the situation improves soon and everyone stays safe.
I also want to share something personal with you. During this time I lost someone very important in my life, and because of that — combined with the communication problems — we couldn’t share updates as frequently as we normally would.
But development never stopped.
We have been working very hard on the next update, and we are extremely excited to finally show what we’ve been building.
🛠️ What Did We Work On?
This upcoming update is one of the biggest updates we have ever made for Astrometica.
It includes:
Major system redesigns
New gameplay mechanics
Huge environment remakes
Large narrative expansions
Many milestones from the Astrometica roadmap are included in this update.
💾 Save System (Completely Remade)
The entire save system has been rebuilt from scratch.
This took nearly two months of development, but the result is much better.
New features include:
✔ Multiple Save Slots
✔ More stable saves
✔ Future-proof system for updates
⚠️ Unfortunately, because the system changed completely, old legacy saves will not work with the next update.
We know this can be frustrating and we sincerely apologize. However we promise this will be the last time saves break due to system changes.

📖 Story Improvements
We have massively expanded the story.
The original storyline still exists, but we added:
100+ new story logs
Expanded lore about Moxora leadership
More stories about Yunadel employees
New discoveries about the alien mystery
For the first time, the game will also include a story ending.
However — this is not the final ending of Astrometica.
Future updates will introduce multiple endings.
🎯 Objective System
Astrometica now includes a full objective system from start to finish.
During your journey you will receive:
Main objectives that guide the core progression • Side objectives discovered during exploration
Some side objectives also contain their own mini storylines and outcomes, which can unlock important progress or reveal hidden parts of the Astrometica universe.
This system helps players better understand what to do next while still keeping the freedom of exploration.
📦 Stacking Upgrade System
We added a new device that allows you to upgrade item stack sizes.
Using this system you can increase the maximum stack size of items, making inventory management much easier.
This means:
More efficient storage • Less inventory clutter • Better resource management during exploration
📚 New Book System
Books can now be discovered in the world.
Through these books you can learn about:
The Astrometica universe
Humanity’s technological evolution
Corporate history
Hidden stories behind the colonies
👽 Alien Nest System
A new dynamic Alien Nest system has been added.
This system includes:
New alien types
Organic nest structures
Dynamic enemy behavior

🕷️ New Land Enemies
Yes — land enemies are finally coming to Astrometica.
You will encounter:
Spiders
Infected humans
Environmental traps
We are also currently developing two new weapons, which we will reveal later.

🔬 Research System (Remade Again)
We redesigned the research system once more.
The new version allows:
More research options
Multiple progression paths
Different gameplay styles

🚗 Land Vehicles
You will now be able to travel using land vehicles.
This makes exploring the large islands much faster and more efficient.

🎮 Tutorials
We added tutorial systems for:
Tools
Vehicles
Core mechanics
This should make the game much easier for new players to learn.
✨ New VFX
Our VFX artist has been working on many new visual effects while improving older ones.
🚀 Yuna Vehicle
The Yuna vehicle has been completely redesigned.
It is now:
Much larger
Fully physical
More interactive
From a development perspective this was extremely challenging because the vehicle is fully physical and buildable, meaning you can build inside it and pilot it in space.
But we finally made it work.

🧭 New Unstuck System
Based on player feedback we added new unstuck options to help players recover if they get stuck.
🌌 Theta-9 (Completely Remade)
The Theta-9 belt has been fully redesigned.
It now includes:
Larger exploration areas
More locations
Improved environmental storytelling
Space for future narrative content

(formerly Old Hub Station)
Now significantly larger and visually improved.

🛰️ Theta-9 Control Center

This location is now 10x larger and includes many new story logs.

This new cave system is almost the size of the old Theta-9 belt itself.

Garden Islands
A mysterious locked garden island that Moxora employees were unable to access.
You must figure out how to enter it.

Inside you will discover:

Hidden technologies
New logs and transmissions

Theta-145 introduces a new gameplay style.
Many areas are heavily defended with:
Turrets

We are also developing an Asteroid Storm environmental event.
Players will need to protect themselves or their ships during storms.
Yuna Fabrication Station
Build your new Yuna vehicle.
