changedThis update brings Quality of Life improvements focused on controls, accessibility, and inventory management based on your recent feedback.
added100% One-Handed Play & New Keybinds - Several people have requested more keyboard control options, so I've added support for several common key maps, including WASD and HJKL, and mapped Num5 as a dedicated 'rest' key. To make things as efficient as possible, I've also added duplicate hotkeys clustered near each of these layouts. This means you can now comfortably play the whole game using only one hand, regardless of which layout you prefer!
changedContext-Dependent Inventory - Desktop players pointed out that it felt weird for the inventory to close after every single item use. So now on desktop the inventory will now stay open while you manage your gear. On the Steam Deck, the inventory will still auto-close after use. This is because the joystick is shared between moving the player and navigating the item grid. I'm considering adding shoulder-button navigation for the inventory so we can keep it open for gamepad players, so if you're a Steam Deck player please let me know your opinion in the comments!
addedProper Item Dropping You can now drop items directly back into the game world! Getting the logic right for serializing dropped items into save files and handling all the edge cases was a bit fiddly under the hood, but it is fully implemented and working smoothly.
addedThanks as always for the feedback. Let me know what you think of the new inventory and control tweaks in the comments or what ever forum you use.
