I’m Castel, the solo developer behind Ashen Seed.
First of all, THANK YOU. The response to the trailer and the Steam page launch has been overwhelming. In just over a week, we crossed 1,500 Wishlists, and seeing the community grow has been incredible.
For those new here: I am building this game late at night (from 10 PM to 3 AM) from my home in Southern Chile, hand-drawing every frame while my baby sleeps. Seeing that the atmosphere and the "ecological horror" theme resonate with you validates those sleepless nights.
What am I working on right now?
Hero Animation Polish: I'm re-drawing and refining the main character's movement to make it feel smoother and more responsive.
- Expanding "The Burrows"I'm designing new rooms, vertical sections, and secrets to make the initial biome feel vast and interconnected.
New Enemies & NPCs: Creating the unique inhabitants (both friendly and deadly) that you will meet in the deep mines.
- New AbilitiesImplementing new root-based powers that will open up combat and exploration options.
