Repeated intro
Hello Warlords! Here is a small update of additions and bug fixes. Also please note that the next update will be a big one... with major changes to the Battle Field graphics and will include some new Mechanics, 3D models, Animations, UI additions, and some potential particle systems.
What changed
- UI and audio
- Gameplay
- Maps
- Fixes
Here are the current updates...
Additions
Added the ability to tilt the main island camera up and down.
The Charm skill of your generals now affects Buying and Selling with the traveling merchant. High Charm will give you better trading rates versus low Charm where you will get worse rates than the posted one.
The Wisdom skill now directly affects the skill levels of generals that are found when using the search function.
- UIRemoved the year counter at the top of the UI and added a turns counter above the current month. Thank you for the Feedback in Discord that made this change obvious.
Added some missing tooltips in the main UI, again... thanks to some feedback in Discord.
Added 1 second of wait time after each unit's turn on the battle map. This allows you to see the damage done by all units before the camera moves to the next unit's turn. Again from feedback in Discord.
The total units for each tutorial province that the player has to defeat have been reduced and now only contain around 50 units each. This will ensure that players are able to win without any hiccups.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a large number of spelling and grammar mistakes in the tutorial thanks to feedback given to me in Discord.
Fixed an issue where the Battle Camera would start on the wrong battle map but then snap to the correct map once the player tried to move the battle camera.
Fixed a major soft lock bug that occurred on all battle fields if a unit changes sides but then dies. This caused the turn system to soft lock and not move to the next unit's turn.
Fixed a tutorial soft lock that could occur if you killed all enemy generals on your first invasion and that province's turn was next after the battle. Once the battle was completed, the next tutorial task would be to develop crops, however your generals would have no action points remaining and the Next Turn button would be disabled.
Fixed an annoying battle camera bug where the camera would vibrate when zooming in or out.
Saved Game file titles would often save the warlord as Unknown. This issue has now been fixed and your new save files should now always display your warlord's name in them.
Fixed a serious bug where after you load a saved game, an older method would reassign you a new warlord based on the highest general's stats in your original starting province. This bug was tricky to fix, but has now been eradicated!
After loading a saved game, any provinces conquered by you would have reverted back to the original warlord's name that owned it at the start of the game. This had no real impact on the province other than showing the player the wrong name in the province panel.
Fixed some issues with assigning a province to run itself in Eco/War/Mix. After loading a saved game all the provinces on the list would be set to Off. This has been corrected and now shows all the previous settings.
Fixed another issue with assigning a province in War mode. If the province did decide to attack another province it would force the player to have the battle instead. This was never the intended behavior and now your War provinces will have NPC vs NPC battles without bringing you to the battlefield. Side note: War mode is super aggressive and is really amazing now!
