ASCII Survivors releases on Steam on May 1, 2026 at $5.99, with a 15% launch discount for the first week.

A survivor-like roguelite where every monster, bullet, and explosion is ASCII text on a CRT screen. Weapons fire automatically, enemies come from every direction, and by mid-run you can barely tell what's killing what.

What's in the Game

  • 8 characters with different starting weapons and passives

  • 16 weapons across 6 attack patterns — nova rings, whirlwinds, spark chains, screen-wide beams, etc.

  • 4 game modes — Normal (20 waves + boss), Endless, Trial (daily seed), Pact (stackable handicaps)

  • 6 enchantments (fire, ice, poison, lightning, leech, curse) that stack on any weapon

  • 15 passive skills, 3 maps with multi-phase bosses, 35 achievements

I wanted to see what a survivor-like would feel like if everything on screen was pure ASCII — turns out, with enough glow and particles, a terminal can look pretty alive.

Wishlist now to be notified on launch day. See you May 1st.
