Hello, Artisans!
We're thrilled to bring you our first big content update in Early Access: the Fishing Update! This update includes exciting new features like a fully playable fishing system, daily quests, new tracking apps, and improvements to foods. Here's a full breakdown of what’s new:
New Mechanic: Fishing
You can now fish across Humforte! Cast your line from the Town Square Deck or head to the waters near Breezefall Glades. Catch reef tuna, sardines, and more—there are 8 species to discover so far, and they can be sold, eaten, and gifted.
How It Works:
Craft a Fishing Rod at the Forge.
Stand near a Fishing Spot (you'll see a hand cursor) and click the water to cast.
Once a fish bites, a minigame begins:
Hold Right Mouse Button to move the marker.
Try to align it with colored zones (Green, Yellow, Red) on the bar.
Tap Left Mouse Button when aligned to lower the fish’s stamina.
Red zones = strongest hits. Miss too often and the fish escapes!
When the stamina bar is depleted—you’ve caught it!
New Feature: Daily Quests
Check the Town Quest Board for fresh tasks every day!
These quests come from townsfolk who need your help.
Completing them rewards you with Erils and boosts relationships.
To refresh quests, simply sleep and check again the next day.
It’s a great way to add rhythm to your days and deepen your connection to the village.
New Feature: Relationship App
Want to know how close you are to the townsfolk?
Press ‘P’ and look for ‘Relationship’
Use the new Relationship App to view all discovered villagers.
Track your relationship level and view character info.
Note: Because this system is new, your past progress has been reset. Think of it as a fresh start to get even closer with your favorite villagers!
New Feature: Bestiary App
Keep track of all the monsters you’ve met around Clover Island:
Press ‘P’ and look for ‘Bestiary’
Each monster has 3 research stages: You can walk close to them, defeat or capture them to progress.
View drop items, stat traits, and tiny lore blurbs for each creature.
Perfect for collectors, tamers, and lore-lovers alike!
Improved Food System
Foods are now more meaningful than ever:
Meals and edibles now grant stat boosts.
Each food has a saturation value, limiting how much stat you can boost daily.
Saturation resets after sleeping.
You’ll now need to think about what you eat and when, adding more strategy to daily life.
Additional Improvements
Adjusted overall light level for better visibility
Added more resolution options in Settings.
Add a recipe in Kaina's shop
Added townsfolk gifting responses
