Arkheron changes
This past Friday, we went back to a Floor 2 start with 7 teams of 3 for some Turbo Ascension and Destroyer Crown fun. We shifted into Patch 0.20 with several bugfixes, and a rotation that brought Dahla and Grimwold back into the Tower at the cost of Rynshi and Karriv.
Our Audio team showed up for some pre-game Q&A to talk Arkheron music, voices, and ambience. Then, they led the FNF livestream, and we ended the night with after-hours community custom games.
In case you missed it: we switched from our Experimental Client to the Arkheron Playtest Client to prepare for inviting more new players. Check out this post for more information on how to make the switch.
Dev Livestream with the Audio Team
Our Dev Livestream had two distinct parts last week:
In the Q&A segment, our audio team provided some insights on the inner workings of the sound that goes into Arkheron. Check it out HERE!
Then, onto the dev stream segment, where our devs managed to grab some wins against our ultra-talented community members, and showcased the power of teamwork in the Tower.
FNF After Hours
After FNF queues wound down, our Narrative Lead, Drew, joined Beni to shoutcast some community custom matches and give some juicy lore tidbits: highlighting certain Eternals, their voice lines, and their motivations. Here's the VOD!
Community Highlights
If you missed ItanoCircus ’s Unlockable Locations Tierlist, definitely give it a watch:
TwentyFiveEx played a little Hide and Seek in Arkheron. Here’s the clip:

Patches
Last week we deployed patches 0.20a and 0.20b. Some highlights were:
Big projectiles are now split into three projectiles. It still functions as one large projectile but now if you fire toward terrain, it can block just a portion of your projectile letting some of the projectile pass through, rather than blocking the entire projectile.
When a match is found, or you’re revived from the dead - the taskbar icon for Arkheron will now flash.
Under gameplay ‘options’, you can now enable a setting that pushes the game window to the front of your screen when either of these events occur.
The Destroyer’s fissure attack hits were previously quite long (30 frames). These are now 10 frames. You should feel like you’re not getting hit as much.
The Destroyer’s Drop from the Sky hit can no longer reach you through walls.
