Area Zero v1.5.0 (06/18/2026)
Iterated on back dash.
a. Increased recovery.
b. Reduced invulnerability frames.
c. Reduced velocities for the entire roster.
Revised damage and blue meter scaling.
Reduced guard meter capacity for all characters except for the Violets.
Revised the engine's input handler to fix issues with armored attacks.
a. Neither voice audio for characters or their animations should ever repeat if absorbing an attack.
b. Airborne armored attacks should no longer change direction to face the attacker mid animation.
Increased invulnerability frames during start up for all supers across the roster.
Iterated on win quotes based on player responses.
Improved CPU character behavior.
a. Increased awareness of resources to make better choices when extending combos.
b. Added logic for handling juggles.
Implemented smooth collision resolver. Adjusted various collision boxes to accommodate this change.
Added standing and crouching animations for entire roster.
Revised forward evade to have full collision.
Iterated on the youth version of Violet (i.e. Violet (Y)).
a. Restored B.P.V. as the character's name.
b. B.P.V.'s install super duration reduced from 12 to 10 seconds.
c. Improved collision boxes of down super.
Iterated on Richard.
a. Improved Richard's taunt bonus to include faster take offs for jumping and dashes.
b. Iterated on MEGA forward special and down super.
Iterated on Violet.
a. Increased recovery and adjusted duration of standing projectiles.
b. Increased start up frames for her dive kick.
c. Increased width of hit boxes for regular down special.
Iterated on Niven.
a. Added minimum height to activate air special.
b. Increased taunt bonus active time from 10 to 12 seconds.
Iterated on Adrian.
a. Revised color palettes.
b. Iterated on down super hit boxes to help mitigate drops.
c. Reduced start up of forward + HK command normal.
d. Adjusted frame data of forward special.
Revised the brother's puppet super.
a. Restored vulnerability to attacks. The puppet brother is only vulnerable to normals and
command normals. After 3 hits the puppet brother retreats and the super ends.
b. Reduced the puppet's recovery after being hit and attacking.
c. Reduced meter gain rate of the brother when the puppet super is active.
