Apopia: Sugar Coated Tale changes
Hi my friends!
It has been a month since the release of the game. I’m so grateful to see your feedbacks and the fact that many of you have enjoyed the game. We won’t stop here, there’re still a lot of things to happen in the near future. And we won’t stop making the game better!
Today, I’d want to share a few very early screen caps and sketches of the game. As you can see, we have tried to make it a 3D game before 🤣 we have also explored the possibility of making it a more action oriented game.
So, you may ask, and I have also been asked a lot of times in interviews: Why Point-and-click? Why so many mini-games?
A short answer is: Because it has to be.
For all the decisions I make, I always ask myself “Why?”. For the game genre, the goal is to deliver the story and emotions efficiently. And Point-and-click is the best way to go. And for all the particular moments in game, I feel like there’s no better way to deliver the experience as particular minigames, that’s why I add them into the game.
In the coming diaries I will share more old and new stuffs about APOPIA :D
