Six Commanders Step Forward

Every commander in Apes Warfare starts with one question “Who are they on the battlefield?” From that spark, personality and design take shape.

We are proud to introduce six unique commanders: Seezor, Jack, Smash, Kevin, Mandor, and Leo. Each one was drawn entirely by hand, no AI tools, just craftsmanship from our illustrator Leopoldo Anjo, who brings every gesture and line to life.

Leo worked closely with our team to ensure every commander feels distinct in both posture and presence. Seezor’s face has become more playful and mischievous, a perfect reflection of his unpredictable style. Smash now feels more solid and determined, his silhouette echoing his stubborn strength. Kevin’s golden arm immediately sparks curiosity what is its story, and what power does it hold And Leo, larger than life, now carries the weight and dignity of a true general, both powerful and full of mystery.

Right now, we are building new in-game animations to bring their personalities to motion, expressive, exaggerated, and full of character. Every frame is drawn with intent, not just how they move, but how they lead.

Creating by hand takes longer, but we believe it is worth it. We want you to recognize a commander instantly, not by a nameplate, but by how they feel on screen.

Comic Page #4 When Rivals Collide

Our latest comic page is now complete. This chapter continues the rivalry between Seezor and Jack, two leaders whose every meeting turns into chaos. Strategy, pride, and personal grudges all explode when they face each other.

These stories do not just live on paper. They are part of how our commanders evolve in the campaign, sometimes as allies, sometimes as rivals. Every battle adds another layer to their relationship and to your choices as a player.

What’s Next Next Dev Log, we will showcase the commander animations and how expressive motion can turn strategy into storytelling.

Until then, tell us Which commander would you follow into battle
