Screenshots Needed

Last year we posted this and received some great screenshots, so we're opening this up again. We’re looking to broaden our online offering, and part of that will require more screenshots for a variety of purposes. There is no finite number of ‘winners’ – we’re just looking for good representations of APB, some of which we’ll decide to select and use. What we do pick will definitely… • …show APB in a unique way not often seen (dancing, collecting evidence, carrying loot, etc) • …be 1920 x 1080 or higher resolution with graphical options maxed • …be free of any UI, custom shaders, visible clipping or artifacting • …not be trying to promote, subtly or overtly, any player, clan, or real life affiliation • …not be overly ‘shopped (note: subtle photoshopping or enhancement is fine as long as it’s clearly called out; we may not select these screenshots to represent game quality, but we may have other uses for them) And many of the screenshots we choose will likely… • …contain an interesting or exciting subject with clever composition • …make good use of light, color, and space • …be taken from an interesting angle or vantage point • …clearly highlight APB’s most commonly seen features (customization, vehicular/combat gameplay, urban environments) If your screenshot is selected, we’ll give you a 100 G1C bounty for it. If your screenshot is both selected and used in the upcoming project, you will be credited in a separate credits section. Please make sure your submission includes:

• Your 1920 x 1080 screenshot following all above guidelines

• Your in-game name and server

• Optional: Any title you’d like to give your screenshot

Multiple submissions are accepted and encouraged. Please email contests@reloadedinc.com a direct link to an album or screenshot on imgur.com and include your account email address and forum name. Please do not attach screenshot to email, only direct links are accepted.

We’ve seen a lot of screenshots.

Here’s ones we’ve automatically discarded

• Screenshots with no ‘verbs’. Your picture should tell a mini-story; standing alone in the park showing off your customizations tells no story. Car-jackings, spray-paintings, photo-taking, jumping, shooting, exploding…these are good

• Screenshots that look like a clan photoshoot with clan logos everywhere. Yes, we would like to include shots of clans of characters looking similar and showing obvious teamwork. No, we’re not going to select anything that looks like a recruitment poster

• Screenshots that contain attachments and/or weird, unfamiliar links. We’re going through a lot of screenshots. Help make it easier on us by providing screenshots in the form of imgur links; if you have multiple screens, put them in an album

• Screenshots that contain UI elements

• Screenshots that contain clipping

• Screenshots with the subject standing, emoting, or passively observing some even in the background

• Screenshots with no cohesion

• Screenshots with characters belonging to other IPs (yes we love Mario; no we won’t be using him for this)

Want to show a dance party? Pick a theme and adhere to it (like hip hop, for instance), choose an environment that makes sense (like the club, or a warehouse), get the camera at an angle beyond the standard ‘third person behind the shoulder’, and try to show characters performing moves that complement each other and hint at the drama unfolding before and after the screenshot (make it feel like someone just brought it).
