Thank you to everyone who played the Apathic demo during these first days of Steam Next Fest and took the time to report issues. We’ve been reading your feedback closely and just pushed an update targeting the most critical bugs.
Here is what we fixed and improved:
⚙️ Performance & Stability
Fixed a critical crash when adjusting the brightness level.
Fixed a crash that occurred when trying to return to the main menu after dying.
Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when pressing specific keyboard keys.
Significantly reduced the game's startup time.
Optimized the game to reduce heavy frame drops during startup and intense chase sequences.
👁️ Gameplay & Environment
Fixed the AI getting stuck in doorways while hunting the player.
Fixed various monster movement issues under specific conditions.
Added more visual cues and indications to help you navigate the facility.
Fixed collision issues and water rendering bugs in several areas.
🛠️ Quality of Life & Settings
- GraphicsAdded a Graphic Quality adjustment setting.
- Ray TracingRT is now disabled by default to ensure better performance for everyone.
- DisplayAdded Fullscreen and Windowed mode options.
- ControlsAdded Mouse and Controller sensitivity adjustments.
- UIFixed an issue where Chinese fonts would fail to load in certain circumstances. Added new visual loading indicators.
- Immersive ModeAdded an option to disable notifications and hints.
Addressed several other minor bugs under the hood. (More optimization options will come in the future).
