Character Creator, Employee Entourage & Red Carpet Dash

Hello Animators!

It's time for some exciting news: With this update, Levels 1-9 are complete (pending any final balancing)! Over the next few weeks, I will be heavily testing and balancing these levels as well as getting Level 10 on the test branch of the server for final testing.

Because with Level 10 - where you'll face off against your Mom as she wages all-out War on your Animation Studio - the game will be complete! So, that's exciting and coming very soon!

Okay, so let's dive into what's new with this update:

New!

Player Builder

• Now when you start a new game, you create your own Avatar before creating your Mom Avatar.

• Your Avatar appears on your OMBd page now instead of the silhouette.

• Your Avatar now is the one at the level 8 Awards minigame instead of the Animator.

• Your Avatar is also the one playing the new level 9 Awards minigame as well.

Entourage

• You can now unlock the Entourage in the Producer's Office at level 9. It costs 200XP to unlock it.

• You have 10 Members of your Entourage who each have their own Perk

• Each Perk can be upgraded up to 10 times using Entourage Points

• Earn Entourage Points doing the weekly Entourage Card matching game.

  • It costs 50 XP each week to run the matching Game

  • Match 10 pairs of Entourage members to earn up to 15 Entourage Points each week

  • For each Department you don't match up, they will suffer a drop in happiness!

Red Carpet Dash

• At level 9, you unlock the final Award Ceremony minigame - the Red-Carpet Dash - which begins after you complete the Finding Balance minigame.

• This minigame is a variation of the grapple variation of the Catch a Break weekly minigame, except instead of catching one specific Inventory, you must collect a sequence of Inventory. If you collect the full sequence, you earn the maximum points.

Tutorials

• Since Tutorials have had a major revamp, everyone's hints have been reset to see them all again.

  • Once you see the new Hint, the game should remember that you've seen it and won't show it again unless you reset hints manually, or click "Play as guest"

  • Once you unlock the Level 9 Entourage, you'll be able to skip the tutorial for future play-throughs if you want.

• Barista Hint now pops up in the Coffee Room to ensure the player knows how to switch to Barista mode

• A few Hints were removed as they are redundant due to other changes.

• Producer/Executive Tutorials

  • Producer Level 5 : He now shows you his office before moving on to HR. This ensures the player sees the Department of the Week and knows where future upgrades will be.

  • Executive Level 6:

    • Fixed an issue that happens if all the Production people were out of the office when the Executive is trying to show you how to do Training - which requires at least one person to be in the office.

    • Also explains that you earn Rotted Potatoes from TV movies in here now

  • AddedProducer Levels 6-8The Producer now guides you through the new features instead of just talking about them in his meeting.

  • Level 9: Once you unlock the Entourage, the Producer gives you his final guidance.

• All Minigame and Coffee Room Hints have been converted to videos instead of still images so you can see how the minigames operate a little better before playing.

  • This includes the Award show minigames where Mom is texting instructions. You also get a video hint popup for these.

  

Random

• "Catch a Break"

  • Swapped Editor character to the Animator.

  • Removed the 4 hour "resting" time for the selected Department.

• Finding Balance

  • Starts with 20 in each bucket in Easy mode

  • Fixed a glitch where your fan rating would INCREASE if you failed instead of decreasing it.

• To-Do list

  • Fixed a small glitch on the Level 2 To-Do list, due to last update's balancing

  • Level 9 no longer requires PR Disasters (as those happen automatically). Instead, you must earn a certain amount of Entourage Points, based on your difficulty level.

• Ensured that the Award Points were being calculated properly on the Studio Clipboard and the actual Film!

• Moved the ability to "Name" Mom to the bottom of her creator page.

• Fixed a glitch where some "Media Focus" Producer Perks weren't calculating properly

• Going the Corrupt Path now results in more Awards Points.

• Added more mom Taunting
