You can see your friend’s screen and play together at your own pace. Even if you return to the title screen to change the game mode or skins, or if you restart after a game over, the server connection remains active. This ensures a continuous multiplayer experience without disconnections.

2-Player Multiplayer Content Development Note

The multiplayer system is almost complete, and i'm currently designing the content. Below is the content i'm working on. Feel free to suggest any ideas if you have any good ones!

Two Game Modes

  1. Free Mode

  2. Duel Mode

Free Mode

This mode allows players to enjoy a relaxed gameplay experience with a friend in the same environment as the single-player mode. You can see your friend’s screen and play together at your own pace. Even if you return to the title screen to change the game mode or skins, or if you restart after a game over, the server connection remains active. This ensures a continuous multiplayer experience without disconnections.

Duel Mode

This is a competitive mode where both players play under the same conditions. Players can choose from special rule sets to compete:

  1. Step/Sprint Rule (Choose one, tentative name)

  2. Interference Rule (Toggle on/off, tentative name)

Step Rule Duel

If one player gets a game over, the remaining player wins if they have a higher score. If they have a lower score, the game continues without a time limit. This rule allows for a relaxed score-based competition.

Sprint Rule Duel

If one player gets a game over, the remaining player is given a time limit. If they fail to catch up to the opponent’s score within the time limit, they lose. This rule encourages fast-paced gameplay, similar to a racing game.

Interference Rule (Optional)

This rule allows players to send ice blocks to their opponent based on combo streaks when merging animals.

  • A small ice block is sent at 2 combos, and the ice size increases with higher combos.

  • The ice shrinks gradually when animal merges happen nearby, and it disappears when it reaches a certain size.

  • Players can also manually throw the ice block out of the game area.
