fixedWe've just pushed a hotfix live this morning that should address issues with high-framerate monitors causing wonky physics and/or crashes when transitioning to certain areas (the Santa Sled in particular was problematic about this). If you ran into this bug during the Blizzard of Balls stage, you should now be able to leap off of Santa's rotting sled corpse and into the boss battle without issue.
changedFor the time being, we're capping the game to run at 60FPS in order to prevent these issues from occurring. This is not going to be our final fix for this, but we want to make sure a more complex, proper fix is fully tested before we roll that out. In the meantime, this will allow people who already own the game to play it without running into this issue.
changedIf the game hasn't updated for you yet, restart Steam and it should pop up with an update for the game.
removedThe transition between the snowboarding section and the boss in Blizzard of Balls no longer hangs when using a high refresh rate monitor
changedA larger, more comprehensive patch will be rolled out soon as well that addresses some other issues and makes some quality of life tweaks. Stay tuned in the coming week and we'll have more information for you.

We've just pushed a hotfix live this morning that should address issues with high-framerate monitors causing wonky physics and/or crashes when transitioning to certain areas (the Santa Sled in particular was problematic about this). If you ran into this bug during the Blizzard of Balls stage, you should now be able to leap off of Santa's rotting sled corpse and into the boss battle without issue.

For the time being, we're capping the game to run at 60FPS in order to prevent these issues from occurring. This is not going to be our final fix for this, but we want to make sure a more complex, proper fix is fully tested before we roll that out. In the meantime, this will allow people who already own the game to play it without running into this issue.

If the game hasn't updated for you yet, restart Steam and it should pop up with an update for the game.

Here's the official fix list from our Developer, Sam:

  • 60fps cap fixes timing and physics issues for players using high refresh rate monitors

  • The transition between the snowboarding section and the boss in Blizzard of Balls no longer hangs when using a high refresh rate monitor

  • Various minor bug fixes

A larger, more comprehensive patch will be rolled out soon as well that addresses some other issues and makes some quality of life tweaks. Stay tuned in the coming week and we'll have more information for you.

Lastly, everyone here at Screenwave Media and Freakzone Games wants to extend our thanks to the community. The support for this game has been nothing short of amazing, and we're dedicated to continuing post launch support to get you guys the best version of the game possible.

As always, please let us know of any other issues you're running into in the forum, and we'll continue to monitor them for things to include as we publish more updates.

Thanks again, you guys rule. <3
