安堂的心理咨询室:杯中之心〈ANDOU:Pulse of cup〉 changes
Thank you all for your continued feedback! This update mainly addresses technical issues reported by players and expands the game's operating system support.
Update Details:
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed crashing issue on the Calpis routeBased on reports from multiple players in the comments section, we believe we have fixed the occasional game crash that occurred when entering the "Calpis" route under specific dialogue choices. If you still encounter it, please let us know, and we'll follow up.
🛠️ Improvements & Optimizations
- macOS Version UpdateWe have fully updated the macOS version of the game client to a 64-bit architecture . The game now natively supports macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and newer, resolving compatibility prompts or launch issues on newer Mac devices.
Interface Improvement: Affection points and intelligence values are now displayed directly during gameplay. This should make it easier to plan your choices and hopefully help everyone avoid getting stuck!
✨ New Additions
Added Linux Support: Starting with this version, the game officially adds support for Linux (SteamOS)! We look forward to seeing everyone enjoy the game on devices like the Steam Deck.
Appendix: A Message from the Developer
Hi everyone, I was the programmer and publisher for this game, and I still hold this Steam account.
Actually, not long after this game was first released, the development team disbanded for various reasons. At that time, I saw players in the comments section reporting crashes on the Calpis route. I felt terrible, but with the team gone, facing those bugs alone, I didn't know what to do. In the end, I chose to escape – I left the account aside, pretended not to see those messages, and couldn't bear to open this game's page again.
Over the years, I occasionally thought about it, but I never dared to click on it. Then, a little while ago, somehow I opened the store page again and scrolled through the comments. Those accumulated messages from years past came into view one by one – people carefully describing where the bug occurred, some helplessly asking "Is this game no longer maintained?", but also others still saying "This game is pretty interesting, it's just a shame." I scrolled down one by one, and the further I went, the more it hit me. All these years later, people still remember this little indie game, people are still hoping it can become better.
At that moment, I felt I couldn't run anymore. I started frantically searching through old hard drives and email accounts, and finally found the original source code in a backup. After all this effort, I managed to fix the crashing issue, updated the macOS version to 64-bit, and even added support for Linux players. Also, I made the originally hidden affection points and intelligence values visible directly in the game, hoping everyone can have a smoother experience when revisiting it.
If there are any other bugs I can fix in the future, I will definitely do my best. Thank you to every player who left a message in the comments. You brought me back. I hope this update allows those still hoping to enjoy the game.
Thank you, everyone.
