changedWe have something important to share today: our release plans for Among The Trolls, and a big decision we've made that your feedback played a huge part in. Since we first revealed the game, we've spent a lot of time reading your forum posts, watching your demo playthroughs, and reviewing the playtest & demo survey. Your enthusiasm for Anna's personal journey through the Finnish wilderness and its folklore has continued to inspire us, and has made one thing increasingly clear: the greatest strength of Among The Trolls lies in its story and the atmospheric world Anna moves through. While honored by some of your comparisons with giants of the survival genre, we realized that by trying to satisfy the "hardcore survival" itch while also telling an intimate, supernatural story, we risked doing neither particularly well. An Early Access release would have given you only a "slice" of that story, and that's not how we want you to experience it. So, we've decided to skip Early Access and move straight to a Full 1.0 Release in Summer 2026 . This lets us focus all our energy on delivering a polished, cohesive, and complete narrative experience from day one, with every hour going into world-building, quest design, and atmosphere, all of it built around the feedback you've already given us. We also want to be straight with you: the industry is in a tough spot right now, and that's had an impact on how we're thinking about scope. For launch, we decided to go for a single-player experience , prioritizing quality over quantity. After 1.0, we'll look at the game's performance and your feedback to figure out together how Among the Trolls might expand. We know this may disappoint those hoping for multiplayer, but we genuinely think this is the path that gives the game the best shot at being what it was always supposed to be: a haunting, beautiful journey into the unknown. Thank you for sticking with us. We can't wait to see you in the archipelago in 2026!
