addedIt seems like only yesterday that the gates to Amber Isle welcomed you all in for the first time. Since then, we’ve been truly lucky to have a community as kind, creative and enthusiastic as you all - from the countless pieces of fanart, to the hours upon hours of livestreams, to the kind messages that mean the world to a small dev team like us. So! We wanted to give a little something back to the community, in the form of Amber Isle’s 1st Anniversary Celebrations! Throughout the next week, we have a range of giveaways, events, discounts and… drumroll… a new patch in the works for Steam!

So! We wanted to give a little something back to the community, in the form of Amber Isle’s 1st Anniversary Celebrations! We’re thrilled to announce that a new patch for the Steam edition is underway! This patch will primarily focus on addressing issues and feedback from the community.

Patch contents include:

  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

  • QOL improvements + implementing community feedback.

  • Dozens and dozens of new customisation options for your Paleofolk.

Also - for the first time ever, we will be opening a Public Test branch on Steam! This means you can check out the new content way before its official release, and help us find and iron out any pesky bugs along the way!

We’ll have more details about the patch, estimated dates, and how to opt into testing later this week. Keep an eye on our Discord to be notified!

So, what happens after this week of celebration is over? Well, we have a lot more community events in the works for the next few months! We’re completely open to suggestions from the community, but here’s some ideas:

  • Discord AMA

    Join the Dev team for an AMA voicechat session, ask any burning question about the world of Amber Isle you may have!

  • Creative Challenge

    Use your creative talents, whether that be visual art, writing, music, costuming, anything at all, to enter into this challenge! The most interesting or impressive entries will win a bundle of Amber Isle merch, with the amount of winners scaling with the more people who enter!

  • Secret Santa Art Exchange

    Like secret santa, but with visual arts! You’ll be paired up with another random participant, and will create a piece of art for them. The only rule is that it must be Amber Isle themed- so that can be your favourite Paleofolk, or your own Ambersona! At the end, everyoe will have made a cool piece of art, and receive a cool piece of art!
