changedMy friends and parasocial darlings, All the Promised Burn -- my hand-drawn knowledge-based RPG -- is officially in development! Please be excited to translate (fictional) dead languages into living ones, try cooking real recipes with fake food, and cry at the growing distance between you and the people you've left behind. There will be screaming into the void AND big fluffy cats to hug. It'll be a wondrous time. Woot woot!
changedWhat does "In-Development" mean?It means the team (read: just me) wakes up in the morning, works on my game all day, and then sleeps every single day until it's done! (Jk, I have work-life balance... maybe.)
addedWhat does "In-Development" mean? It's actually been in development for a while, but posting on a new site for the first time is always a little intimidating... It's just me, after all! Historically, I have been posting my devlogs over on my itch.io and my YouTube so if you just can't wait for me to write another devlog, please head over!
changedWho even are you?I'm Amaiguri -- at least, on most places on the internet. I'm a professional game writer and designer but in my spare time -- er, well, I also make games and write. I also draw, film, make dolls and languages, play lyre and ocarina, etc. You know how this goes. I make Things TM.

How's it going?

My friends and parasocial darlings, All the Promised Burn -- my hand-drawn knowledge-based RPG -- is officially in development! Please be excited to translate (fictional) dead languages into living ones, try cooking real recipes with fake food, and cry at the growing distance between you and the people you've left behind. There will be screaming into the void AND big fluffy cats to hug. It'll be a wondrous time. Woot woot!

What even IS a "Knowledge-based" RPG?

It's when you go around and read things to increase your Knowledge Stats, and then use your big Knowledge Stats to gradually open up more of the world. The story will be like a JRPG -- I've been describing it colloquially as "anime Game of Thrones." There IS a combat mini-game and there IS a food-eating mini-game, but it's mostly about learning things to make your numbers go up!

What does "In-Development" mean?

It means the team (read: just me) wakes up in the morning, works on my game all day, and then sleeps every single day until it's done! (Jk, I have work-life balance... maybe.)

It's actually been in development for a while, but posting on a new site for the first time is always a little intimidating... It's just me, after all! Historically, I have been posting my devlogs over on my itch.io and my YouTube so if you just can't wait for me to write another devlog, please head over!

When will it release?

Good question. As soon as possible! Ideally, sometime this year (2026)! I have no plans to do Early Access, but I MIGHT do some free updates and free even story DLC after it releases!

Who even are you?

I'm Amaiguri -- at least, on most places on the internet. I'm a professional game writer and designer but in my spare time -- er, well, I also make games and write. I also draw, film, make dolls and languages, play lyre and ocarina, etc. You know how this goes. I make Things TM.

I've had a series of imaginary worlds for as long as I can remember and instead of “growing out of them” as I got older, they just got more elaborate. So my games are just an extension of that kind of explorative play!

My latest world is Yssaia: A world of fated heroes and abyssal machines manifested both literally and metaphorically. And so, when I got the really-lucky opportunity to spend full time working on my game, I took it! I don't know if it'll be any good, but it'll be from the heart! (But also, I'm gonna have to release it before the money runs out... AHHHH!)

So, what's next for All the Promised Burn?

Right now, I just finished writing all 400+ books and placing them around the world! Now I'm authoring all the quests and NPC dialogue. And I finished the main story script around this time last year, so once the "world text" is done, I'll be going into editing mode! Hopefully soon! It's a little over ~300k words, so it's not TOO long as far as game text goes. And then it'll just be a matter of implementing the episodes into the game!

Thank you for reading! Please WISHLIST All the Promised Burn today!

p.s. If you're here from the RPGmaker festival, I love you💜💜💜
