addedWelcome to May's devlog, showing off some new features and improvements of the proper rewritten version of Alien Horizon (scheduled for November at the earliest). Today I only have some small things, but there are more of them:
removedResource deposit texturesResource deposits of different types now not only have different colors, but also textures. Each deposit has a unique one, which should make them easier to tell apart at a glance, but also provides some flavor. Since there's liquid water now, which can be frozen in place, ice deposits as you know them in preview alpha no longer exist.
addedNew surveyorThe surveyor now has a sleek new model, which comes with an animation, so you can tell it it's surveying or just being idle. All other vehicles will also get a facelift.
changedNew survey designationWhen determining what area should be surveyed, you no longer have to painstakingly cover it with 7-tile chunks, but instead can just paint it with a brush. You can select the brush size for more control, or if you're feeling especially lazy, just hold Ctrl and the brush automatically covers the whole deposit you're aiming at. Surveyors will then come and attempt to survey the area as efficiently as possible. If you want more control, you can choose from three different priorities to set the tiles as.
changedNew survey designationNext time, you can look forward to more small features that make the game more lively. You can also hop on the official Discord server , where more features will be presented. I hope you've enjoyed this devlog and see you next month!

New survey designation

When determining what area should be surveyed, you no longer have to painstakingly cover it with 7-tile chunks, but instead can just paint it with a brush.

Next time, you can look forward to more small features that make the game more lively. You can also hop on the official Discord server, where more features will be presented. I hope you've enjoyed this devlog and see you next month!
