Alehundred changes
What's new
The Bubble is no longer part of the ability rotation. It has its own dedicated button now with a 30-second cooldown, charge icons that show how many you have left, and a cooldown circle so you always know when it's ready. You start the tutorial with 10 charges and keep 3 after that.
The remaining abilities (Fire, Ice, Oil) still rotate randomly like before, but they moved to a new button so nothing overlaps. Characters
Four new characters: Strawberry, Cheesecake, Ancient Rock and Barbecue. We also removed the ones from the beta that were bugged and lagging, so now every character runs properly. Steam post image
Controls
Abilities got remapped across all platforms to make room for the Bubble.
PC
left click for Bubble, right click for abilities.
Controller
X for Bubble, both triggers for abilities.
Quest
trigger for Bubble, grips for abilities.
Mobile
new touch button on the right side.
Performance
Big improvements on Quest and mobile. Menus load faster, avatar selection doesn't drop frames anymore, and we cleaned up a bunch of stuff that was eating resources in the background (shadows, particles on doors, widget refresh rates). Should feel noticeably smoother.
UI and quality of life
When someone invites you to a stage, you get a notification on screen now instead of nothing
Microphone mute button added to the main menu with a live indicator
Loading screen fixed, no more flashing into menus before the level is ready
Menu compass modals fixed, panels close properly now
Bug fixes
Tutorial compass shows up correctly at the "open menu" step
Fixed the black gem showing up after host migration
Fixed a visual glitch with avatar previews (T-pose flash)
Mic mute setting now persists between levels
