In this Dev Talk, Co-Creative Director Michael Schwahn introduces the Keeper Uprising, a new event that begins on July 4 and runs throughout the entire season. Featuring evolving encounters, event-exclusive rewards, and Lore Fragments, the Keeper Uprising unfolds a new story over the course of two months. Watch the latest Dev Talk below:
An Unfolding Story
The Keeper Uprising will develop progressively throughout Guild Season 33, culminating in Albion’s next major update.
During the event, players will encounter a splinter group within the Keepers known as the Ashborn. As the uprising spreads, the Ashborn presence will grow across Albion, creating unusual encounters throughout the world:
New Ashborn enemies will appear across Albion, featuring new visuals, abilities, and challenges
Keeper enemies will begin appearing in unfamiliar places where players would not normally expect to find them
The Keeper Uprising encourages exploration, inviting adventurers to discover the hidden depths and secrets of the world.
Event Missions and Rewards
The Keeper Uprising introduces a series of special missions themed around the Keeper faction.
These missions are only available during the event
They work similarly to Albion Journal missions and span a wide variety of activities across Albion
Each mission features its own objective and reward
As players complete these missions, they will gradually unlock exclusive vanity rewards – the Ashborn Armor, Helmet, and Avatar Ring.
Discovering Albion’s Lore
This event also introduces a brand-new feature for explorers and lore enthusiasts: Lore Fragments. The first collection, known as Keeper Memories, provides insight into the Keepers' motivations, struggles, and view of the world.
Keeper Memories can be discovered in two ways:
Found in specific locations throughout Albion, including secret passages and concealed areas
Several new hidden locations have been added to the world, meaning familiar places may now contain secrets waiting to be discovered
Obtained as drops from certain mobs
These drops are untradable and cannot be purchased from the Marketplace
Keeper Memories are recorded permanently in the Albion Journal under the Exploration category, even after the event has ended
This lets you revisit discovered memories and access hints that point you toward those still missing
Additionally, several Keeper Uprising missions require you to collect a number of Keeper Memories, helping you progress towards the event rewards.
Guild Season Integration
The Keeper Uprising also ties directly into the upcoming Guild Season:
The event has a dedicated Guild Challenge that rewards a substantial amount of Season Points
Defeating event-related enemies grants additional Might progress, giving guilds another reason to take part
The world you know is under threat! Join the Keeper Uprising on July 4 and venture across Albion as new encounters emerge and the mystery behind the Ashborn begins to unfold. Stay tuned for more info as the event approaches…
