Fixes

  • AI no longer places ships out of the reserve on top of existing ships.

  • Some crash and performance fixes.

  • Boarders now less likely to get stuck on narrow bits of geometry.

Balancing

  • Heavy BombardMaximum up-range increased from 28m to 71m. Fire arc increased from 80 to 100 degrees. Piercing damage increased from 26 to 32. Accuracy multiplier vs airships increased from 0.7x to 0.75x.
  • BallistaAccuracy multiplier vs airships increased from 0.7x to 0.75x.
  • MortarMaximum up-range increased from 14m to 43m. Accuracy multiplier vs airships increased from 0.5x to 0.75x. Accuracy multiplier when fired from airships increased from 0.7x to 0.75x.
  • TrebuchetMaximum up-range increased from 7m to 28m. Accuracy multiplier vs airships increased from 0.5x to 0.75x. Accuracy multiplier when fired from airships increased from 0.7x to 0.75x. Piercing splash radius increased from 5 to 6.5m.
  • CannonClip size increased from 1 to 2.
  • FlamethrowerReduced blast damage from 8 to 6. Now 8x as likely to set things on fire.
  • Giant Flamethrower: Now 8x as likely to set things on fire.

  • Rifle: 50% chance to snipe enemy crew, rising to 75% with the Lightweight Rounds technology.

  • Grapeshot cannonsPiercing damage 14 -> 11, Number of shots 14 -> 16, New: 40% chance of hitting crew
  • Reduced normal crew damage from blast splash damage somewhat.

  • Worm Cultist empires are now 12x more likely to spawn.

  • Revolutionary empires are now 6x more likely to spawn.

Modding

  • Flammability and sniping mechanics are also available for crew weapons using the same fields.

  • You can now specify the victory and defeat screen images for various situations, see EmpireStat.

  • You can now specify the background color of the strategic screen by changing the DESK color in GUISettings/colors.json.

  • Added directSplashRadius to ModuleType and availableFor to ArmourType.

  • The fleet editor now deals correctly with cultist fleet research sequences.

  • Ground troops can now shoot troops to their right.

  • You can now mod IncidentTypes into the game without having H&V - see the wiki page for some documentation.

  • CityUpgradeType now has a "givesTech" field.
