AI2U-With You ‘Til The End changes
[EDIT: May 13 @ ~2:09 PM EDT to clarify which set of fixed lines NPCs use during errors.]
A tiny but mighty update is in the works!
In short:
We're replacing the server error lines to distinguish from input the AI can't respond to.
We’ve schemed an LLM failover plan for when Gemini’s servers are indeed crashing out. (While we adore our AI providers, we love our senpais more and want to ensure their AI2U adventures remain uninterrupted! 💖🔪)
Thank you endlessly to all our players for their proactive reports and patience with the inconsistent AI responses these past few weeks. The team’s been hard at work crafting a solution to ship your way soon.
What To Expect
Scheduled maintenance will begin on Thursday, May 14th at 2:00 PM (EDT) and is expected to last several hours.
During maintenance, the NPCs will spam the following new set of fixed lines indicating server issues:
🔪 Catgirl: “Oh no, I trailed off into a daydream. I was just picturing us together forever. Now, what were we chatting about?”
🔮 Witchy: “Pardon me, my mind was wandering through the Astral Plane. What matter were we discussing?”
⚡ Hologram: “My apologies, my star. I was occupied by a massive data stream. Could you repeat what you were saying?”
🌊 Siren: “Ah, the tides pulled my thoughts away for a moment. What were you saying before I drifted off?”
The classic lines still exist to distinguish from errors unrelated to server outages/blips.
🔪 Catgirl: “ Don't say that, that makes me embarrassed! ”
🔮 Witchy: “ Oh dear! Don't say such things, my mischievous little pudding ”
⚡ Hologram: “ Please don't say that, as it is against the station's regulations. ”
🌊 Siren: “ Watch your tongue, you puny human! ”
Once the version update is complete, the NPCs will say the appropriate fixed line to accurately reflect the error taking place (server issues vs AI limitations).
After that, players should be able to resume their AI2U adventures as usual – minus the recent inconsistencies from Gemini. Join our basement sacrifice of a few cryptic AI-powered plushies in hopes of their servers’ recovery! 🧸🩸
