changedHowever, we have to announce an operational adjustment here: One month after the release of this announcement, Ai Love will switch from a free model to a paid model. The pricing will follow the minimum standards specified by each distribution platform, and the specific price shall be subject to the display on the platform corresponding to your region.
changedEven without considering the relatively large amount of program development work, we have also invested a lot of costs in material resources, dubbing, and music. The final effect has met expectations and even exceeded the passing standard recognized by the team. Although the team has always adhered to the original intention of technical exchange and did not take cost recovery and profit-making as the primary goals – even with zero revenue, the other incomes of Ritsuai Works and the personal funds of the main creators can still barely support the preliminary preparation of the next project – it is distressing that about half of the players have engaged in many invalid feedbacks or even malicious behaviors, including but not limited to blindly brushing achievements and abusing without reason. These behaviors not only fail to provide any constructive feedback for the project but also seriously violate our original intention of open sharing. Even some voice actors reported that their social media accounts were maliciously attacked – although this is an individual case, it is still regrettable.
changedThis is a difficult decision. We originally did not want to adjust the operation model, but the labor achievements of the team should not be ignored or even despised. Neither the rich system functions and high-quality music content recognized by major websites, nor the wonderful dubbing that covers almost the main storyline contributed by the voice actors, should end up like this.

With the completion of the supporting free tutorial for the Ai Love project – Explanation of Common Functions in the Kirikiri KAG System – this project has now officially concluded in all aspects. We are delighted to share this joy with all of you.

This tutorial systematically introduces the common functions of the Kirikiri engine based on the KAGEX2 system, and elaborates in detail on the implementation methods of basic functions for modern Galgame/AVG games. We welcome you all to watch it!

Ritsuai Works sincerely thanks everyone for your continuous support and companionship. Without your encouragement, it would have been difficult for us to successfully complete this project.

However, we have to announce an operational adjustment here: One month after the release of this announcement, Ai Love will switch from a free model to a paid model. The pricing will follow the minimum standards specified by each distribution platform, and the specific price shall be subject to the display on the platform corresponding to your region.

When Ai Love was initially established, it was positioned as an AVG project centered on technical exchange and entertainment experience. Our original idea was between commercialization and free openness: we hoped to maintain the openness of technical sharing – just as the Kirikiri engine itself is open-source – and advocate a healthy and open environment for technical exchange; at the same time, we also recognized that a completely free model would be difficult to support sustained operation and subsequent content development. To achieve a certain scale and quality of content, corresponding revenue support is indispensable.

Even without considering the relatively large amount of program development work, we have also invested a lot of costs in material resources, dubbing, and music.

We can fully accept zero revenue from the project, but we cannot sit idly by and watch the community environment continue to deteriorate. Although we have repeatedly emphasized that Ai Love is centered on technical exchange and entertainment experience, and have actively listened to players' opinions and respected their experience, the feedback we finally received is largely filled with meaningless content and malicious remarks, such as extreme views like "free games are not worth playing", "free games are just for brushing achievements", and "I only care about full achievements, and the game content doesn't matter".

Game developers and players should have a interdependent relationship. Especially in the domestic environment where the Kirikiri solution is already niche, we have always valued and been willing to listen to the voices of every player. Since the game was launched, we have established a complete feedback platform, hoping to provide a channel for players to express their opinions freely. However, by the end of the project, the effective utilization rate of this platform was less than 20%, and it was also mixed with a lot of invalid or malicious content.

This is by no means a healthy AVG game community environment. Even in the domestic niche doujin game community, after a work is released, it usually receives a lot of discussions and suggestions around the game itself. What makes us even more helpless is that many works with a lower degree of completion than Ai Love have obtained more players who play seriously and valuable feedback because they adopt a paid model.

This current situation has completely subverted our perception. We once thought that free openness would allow more people to experience the game, thereby gaining more feedback, supporting our large-scale content development, and accumulating experience for the next project. But the actual result is exactly the opposite.

Therefore, we regret to decide: Before the official establishment and release of the next project, Ai Love will switch from free to paid. All subsequent revenue generated by Ai Love will be used for the development of Ritsuai Works' next project, in order to bring you more high-quality works.

This is a difficult decision. We originally did not want to adjust the operation model, but the labor achievements of the team should not be ignored or even despised. Neither the rich system functions and high-quality music content recognized by major websites, nor the wonderful dubbing that covers almost the main storyline contributed by the voice actors, should end up like this.

At the same time, in order to obtain sufficient revenue for the development of the next work, Ritsuai Works is now launching a program outsourcing plan, aiming to provide the project team with high-quality and low-cost AVG/Galgame program development and maintenance services. For details, please feel free to contact Ritsuai Works – Ritsuai Works Project.

Ritsuai Works has always been a team and will continue to move forward as a team.

Thank you all for your understanding and support.
