Dear Future Students,

I have some wonderful news. Agefield High will finally open its doors very soon and are going to welcome nearly 300,000 applications.

Three hundred thousand.

I had the janitor count the applications twice because I assumed someone had misplaced a decimal point. At this rate, our hallways are going to be so crowded that I'll have to start issuing hallway passes for the hallway passes.

Now, before the first bell rings, I feel it's my duty as principal to make one thing clear.

Some of you may be expecting Agefield High to be a gigantic campus built by an army of developers with an unlimited budget and enough coffee to power a small country.

In reality, it was built by a very small group of developers who poured everything they had into making the kind of game they wanted to play. That means plenty of heart, plenty of personality... and, naturally, a few limitations that come with being an indie project.

So before you submit your application and show up to first period English, I'd like you to read this little checklist.

You Should Attend Agefield High If...

  • You're looking for a raunchy coming-of-age comedy.

Imagine an edgy teen movie from the early 2000s that somehow escaped detention and became a video game. That's Agefield High. The story takes around 10 hours to complete and isn't afraid of immature jokes, awkward situations, or humor that some people may consider a little outdated.

  • You enjoy smaller open worlds with personality.

Agefield is a handcrafted indie town. It's detailed, fun to explore, and full of things to discover. It isn't trying to compete with the enormous worlds built by studios hundreds of people strong.

  • You appreciate simple, old-school gameplay.

Combat is intentionally straightforward. No fifty-button combo system required. There are also several bicycle types, including BMX bikes for tricks, country bikes for off-roading in the woods behind the school, and racing bikes built for speed.

  • You miss the early 2000s.

If references to the music, movies, fashion, and culture of that era make you smile, you'll probably feel right at home.

  • You like what you've already seen.

Everything you've watched was captured directly from gameplay, so what you see is what you'll be playing.

You Should Probably Skip Agefield High If...

  • You don't enjoy edgy or raunchy humor.

This school has plenty of it. Some would call it “outdated” or “a bit offensive.” Our guidance counselor Ms. Wallace just calls it Tuesday.

  • You're expecting a massive AAA open world.

Agefield High: Rock The School is proudly indie. It's a smaller world with plenty of detail, but it isn't designed to compete with the biggest open-world games out there.

  • You're looking for a deep RPG.

You play as Sam and can change his outfits, hairstyle, and even get tattoos, but this isn't a role-playing game with endless character creation options or gathering a party on a world-saving quest. You can choose whether to attend class or skip it, and when prom finally arrives, you'll have an important choice to make.

  • You're hoping for multiplayer.

I'm afraid every student is on their own. Agefield High is a single-player experience from beginning to end.

  • You're expecting a giant sandbox with hundreds of activities.

The main story lasts roughly 10 hours. Outside of classes and story missions, you'll find side missions, lawn mowing, food delivery jobs, collectibles, and secrets to discover. There's plenty to do, but it's still an indie game, not an endless life simulator.

Application Fee

Now that we have laid down the ground rules and after several meetings with the faculty, and one very heated discussion with the accounting department, we've decided to set the tuition… I mean, application fee... at $29.99.

Students who enroll during the first 7 days will receive an Early Bird Discount of 10%, bringing the price down to $26.99.

Regional pricing can be found below. If everything above sounds like your kind of chaos, then I will be seeing you on August 12th for the first day of school.

See you on campus.

Your favorite faculty member,

Principal Carpenter
