Dear Reforgers,
🎊 April 29, 2026. Age of Reforging: The Freelands turns one year old today!
A year ago, after 19 months of Early Access, we launched version 1.0 and opened the gates of the Freelands to players around the world. Since then, Reforgers from every corner of the globe have been forming parties, delving into ruins, clashing in the arena, and trading stories around the campfire. It is you who truly brought this world to life!

🛠️1st Anniversary Update v1.21a
To celebrate, we're bringing you a fresh update as our anniversary gift!
New Content:
Added a new unique hero, Xuanji, an Eastern Mystic. She has her own unique attire and may appear in the Freelands as a mercenary, adventurer, gladiator, or in other possible roles.
With the arrival of Xuanji, a new set of fire spells "the Mystic Fire" has been added, inspired by the mystical Eastern practice of "Fang Shu" (ancient Chinese occult arts).
Improvements:
Optimized character state machine related code, slightly improving overall game performance
Deeply optimized character combat related code, significantly improving game performance during combat
Improved auto-cast logic: skills with longer casting range will now be prioritized
Improved auto-cast logic: when a character auto-casts a "Shoot" or "Spray" type skill, it will now aim at the target's chest instead of their feet
Improved auto-cast logic: when a character attempts to cast an area skill at a distant enemy, it will now track the target's position in real time and cast toward the enemy's latest position. This improvement also applies to actions in the AI Tactics Editor
"Magic Attack" type skills can now be activated while unarmed
On the world map, regardless of how overweight the player's inventory is, the party can now move at a minimum travel speed of 0.25, instead of being completely unable to move
When recruiting mercenaries, managing prisoners, or managing party members, the character model in the window can now be rotated by dragging
The mercenary model shown in the hiring window is now animated
Improved the automatic experience allocation for NPC heroes. They will now level up their abilities more intelligently
Improved the visual effects and sound effects of multiple skills. All of the Bard's songs now have music!
Bug Fixes:
Removed inappropriate preset tactics from the tactical AI database
Fixed an issue where Magic Shield would block friendly projectiles
Fixed an issue where the Beast Master's Summon Animal Companion skill cooldown would increase as the character leveled up
Fixed an issue where minimap icons were rendered beneath the fog of war, preventing them from displaying properly
Fixed an issue where the date was not fully displayed on the time passage screen
Fixed an issue where the windwall effect was not working correctly
Fixed an issue where Bear Trap dealt no damage
