Yue Fei’s Legacy

At its height, the Song dynasty stood as a seemingly invincible power. Its standing army was the largest in the world, numbering over one million soldiers.

But when the Song dynasty struggled to secure military victories on its northern frontier while its purportedly inferior ally of convenience – the Jin dynasty – succeeded, the myth of Song invincibility vanished, unveiling the reality of a frail and hollow giant.

The Jin seized this chance to invade Song China and capture its emperor. The annihilation of the Song dynasty appeared imminent until two pivotal figures emerged: Yue Fei, a young, courageous, and skilled soldier, and Han Shizhong, a seasoned, prudent, and resourceful general.

Fight for Survival Across Eight Missions

Battle across an epic eight mission campaign as one of China’s most famous heroes. Gather supplies, recruit soldiers, and establish a network of saboteurs, as you fight day and night to save the Song dynasty. Here is an early sneak peak of four selected missions and the challenges that await you!

The Escape to Yingtianfu

In 1127, a large Jurchen Jin army overruns the imperial capital of the Song dynasty and sets it ablaze. Their commander Wuzhu orders his soldiers to capture the Song emperor, his court, and all of his family, while laying waste to the once breathtaking capital.

This tragedy shakes all of China as the once-flourishing Song dynasty is threatened with unprecedented collapse. The last hope for the Song is one scared prince, who escapes the city and finds General Han Shizhong.

The Battle of Huangtiandang

Every enemy – no matter their prowess – has a weakness. Together, Han Shizhong and Yue Fei try to pinpoint the Jin’s weakness to halt its advances. In a two-pronged attack, Han Shizhong plans to trap the Jin on the banks of the rushing Yellow River, while Yue Fei prepares to descend the mountains and retake the city of Jiankang.

The Southern Rebels

Wars are not only fought on the frontlines. Even in the deep south of China, civilians are feeling the effects of the war as bandits grow in power and harass the countryside. Yue Fei is sent to help the common folk, stabilize the region for the Song, and vanquish the rebel bandits styling themselves as warlords. This is Yue Fei’s chance to prove himself as a commander.
