The Journey Continues

Aeternum Infecti is already playable, but our work does not stop here. Early Access marks the beginning of the next phase of development, where we will continue working alongside the community to improve, expand, and polish the experience.

Aeternum Infecti was built with a very ambitious goal: creating a large-scale open-world survival experience where players can explore a world that feels truly connected.

The entire world was designed with exploration and immersion in mind, allowing players to enter and explore buildings, including their interiors, multiple floors, and hidden areas. Every location is part of the survival experience, creating a world where players can scavenge, discover, and face threats anywhere.

Combining this level of world accessibility with VR gameplay creates a very demanding technical challenge. Every environment, interior space, object, interaction, and system requires careful optimization to maintain a smooth and immersive experience.

Because of this, optimization is one of our highest priorities during Early Access.

Update Frequency

With the growth of our development team, we are now able to increase the frequency of our updates.

During Early Access, we plan to release monthly updates to keep development moving forward and continue improving Aeternum Infecti alongside the community.

Our goal is to maintain an active development cycle and ensure that the game continues evolving throughout Early Access.

Performance & Optimization - Our Main Focus

Creating an open-world VR game with fully accessible buildings, multiple floors, detailed environments, and interactive systems is a significant technical challenge.

During Early Access, we will be heavily focused on improving:

  • VR performance and stability

  • Frame rate consistency

  • CPU and GPU optimization

  • Memory usage improvements

  • World streaming improvements

  • Rendering performance

  • Overall game stability

  • Optimization across different hardware configurations

Our goal is to continue improving performance while preserving the scale, immersion, and atmosphere that define Aeternum Infecti.

Optimization is not a one time task. It is an ongoing process throughout development. As we continue expanding the game, adding new features, and improving existing systems, we will continue refining the technology behind the experience.

Gameplay Improvements

More Infected Variations

The infected are one of the main threats of Aeternum Infecti, and we want to continue expanding the variety and challenge they bring.

Future updates may include:

  • New infected variations

  • Different behaviors and combat challenges

  • Improved AI reactions

  • More unpredictable encounters

  • Additional threats to discover

Our goal is to make every encounter with the infected feel dangerous, unique, and memorable.

Animation & Visual Polish

We will continue improving the overall quality and presentation of Aeternum Infecti through:

  • More polished character animations

  • Improved infected movement

  • Better combat feedback

  • Enhanced interactions

  • Visual improvements throughout the world

  • Additional details and polish based on player feedback

Every update will bring the game closer to the final vision we have for Aeternum Infecti.

More Content & World Expansion

Throughout Early Access, we plan to continue expanding the world with:

  • New missions and objectives

  • Additional locations to explore

  • More survival mechanics

  • More story content

  • New gameplay features

  • Improvements based on community feedback

The world of Aeternum Infecti will continue growing throughout development.

Community Feedback

Early Access is not just about releasing the game, it is about building it together with the players.

The feedback from the community will be an important part of development. Your experiences, suggestions, and ideas will help us understand what works, what needs improvement, and what features could make the game better.

We want to hear from you about:

  • Performance issues

  • Bugs or problems you encounter

  • Gameplay suggestions

  • Features you would like to see

  • Your overall experience exploring the world

Your feedback will directly help shape the future of Aeternum Infecti.

Future Possibilities

VR + Flatscreen Multiplayer

One of the ideas we have considered for the future is multiplayer support between VR and flatscreen players.

The possibility of allowing VR and traditional PC players to experience the world of Aeternum Infecti together is something we would love to explore.

However, multiplayer is a large and complex feature that requires significant development time, testing, and resources.

Depending on community interest, and the future of Aeternum Infecti, multiplayer is something we may work towards bringing in a future update.

Thank You For Joining Us

Creating Aeternum Infecti has been a long journey, and Early Access allows us to continue developing the game alongside the community.

We want players to know that development is actively continuing. Our goal is not only to maintain the game, but to keep improving, expanding, and polishing it until we reach the complete vision we have for Aeternum Infecti.

Thank you for supporting the development of the game and joining us on this journey.

The world is only beginning to fall apart.
