Adrorium changes
Greetings captains! 8 months later, the update is ready! Try it in the playtest or demo! Major gameplay changes for the start of the game(mission based gameplay) and graphical improvements(hull and UI).
Overhauled hull model
Angled hull, configurable textures/tile/tint and contiguous hull(no more dent gaps). Thick wall and floor with edge poles to give the internal hull volume. Now hostile bases really look eerie while your ship looks a lot sci-fi on the inside, at least compared with the old textures.
6 new tools
6 new tools ranging from a rusty screwdriver to some pulse welder that can pickup and repair tier 9 gatlings in seconds, no need to be afraid of ship modifications if you placed something incorrectly.
Translations (11 languages)
The first prototype for localization has arrived, about 50% of all texts are translated and more coverage is planned for further updates.
Updated UI
Brand new tool ui with nice borders and icons plus an overhauled main menu.
Mission restock
Infinite content for the cowards that are to afraid to live the starting zone! Why bother saving the galaxy when you can become a paid mercenary?
Trader inventory restock
Someone else bought the lito laser in pvp? no worries, the trader will have that back on stock in no time. No need to go shopping to all stations when looking for a certain resource, just stare at the trader patiently.
24 new missions
Fetch, investigate and defeat drones, the good ol' objectives but molded into 24 unique missions, each tailored with a small back story. Also all NPCs can now give missions.
Selection outline
Not sure if you were aiming at the edge of a gatling or the hull in a tight spot? While holding any tool the outline will let you know what block, hull/wall/deck, item or breach you are looking at.
More Mainframe actions
Tired of building a bed of hookguns to catch all mined ores? The updated mainframe automatically aims hookguns to pickup ore so even a handful of them are sufficient. Also a scan mode will inform you of dominant ores to save you a lot of time checking each few seconds for rare asteroids, now you can panic when you run out of h2 in peace.
Reworked ship mobility
Tired of few rcs-es making your ship spin like a bayblade? Now rotation resistance scales with ship volume, bringing a new challenge to ensure mobility to those large dreadnoughts.
UI Modding
I have been wanting to add this for ages and it truly is an interesting feature to be able to change the way Adro looks via files. Doing my job of reducing Unity dependencies.
Auto save slots
To prevent those pesky linux bugs that delete files rely on a 8 slot separate auto save mechanism parallel to the manual save for the main savefile, now you can rest assure that your ugly ship is backed up!
On-face building
This feature is so good you will not even notice it. No more rotating blocks by hand, they are rotated automagically depending on the face you are looking at.
Numerous fixes, QoL features and teaks
Months of incremental tweaks and fixes including debug ui without creative, increased stack sizes, support for more resolutions, pickup walls, more inventory slots and many many more.
New ship: I.S. Lacoyan
As with every major release. Optimized for station operations so more agile but no boosters.
10 new cargoboxes
Finally gone are the weird cabinet and it's strange upgrade set. New cargoboxes bring a new challenge for storage by using the proper material chain (steel->duralumin->cobinel->titanium) instead of iron only. From tier 3 they become more space efficient where a single high level cargobox is sufficient for the endgame.
Automaton voice lines
If you thought automatons were creepy before, prepare for some jump scares. Starting to lay foundations for a horror game here, only 16 lines for now.
Updated all ship designs
Now all bases are equally interesting to explore and, of course, all designs look better with proper angled parts to take advantage of that updated slant hull.
Multiplayer optimizations
Less disconnects toward the end game due to large number of events needed to be synchronized.
