Active Soccer 3 — The Game Has Changed

It has been a while since the last real update, and I know the silence has been longer than expected.

So today I finally want to share what has been going on behind the scenes.

First of all, the game now has its final title:

Active Soccer 3

A much more complete game

Over the past few months, Active Soccer 3 has changed a lot.

This has not been a simple update or a small polish pass. Many parts of the game have been reworked, rewritten, and in some cases rebuilt from the ground up.

The result is a game that now feels much more solid, more responsive, and much closer to the football game I always wanted Active Soccer to become.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

About the silence

The long silence was not really planned.

At some point, I simply needed to step back from the project for a while. In the end, that distance helped me a lot. It gave me time to recover motivation, clear my head, and look at the game with fresh eyes.

When I returned to development, I was able to see more clearly what was working, what was missing, and what still needed to be improved.

That break ended up being important, because Active Soccer 3 now feels much closer to the game I had in mind from the beginning.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Arcade football, but with more depth

Active Soccer 3 is still an arcade football game at its core.

It is fast, immediate, and easy to pick up.

At the same time, I wanted matches to have more depth underneath the surface. The goal was to create a football game that still feels fun and direct, but where positioning, timing, team behaviour, and match flow all matter more than before.

I do not want matches to feel scripted or repetitive.

Every action, every goal, and every match should have its own rhythm and personality.

I truly believe this is the best modern arcade football game I could make.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Release window

Active Soccer 3 is now in the final stages of development.

The game is currently planned for release during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Steam page update

In the next few days, the Steam page will also be updated with:

  • the new branding

  • the final title

  • fresh screenshots from the current version of the game

Thank you for your patience and for continuing to support the project.

I know development has taken longer than expected, but I really believe Active Soccer 3 is now much closer to what it was always meant to be.

More details will be shared very soon.
