I am going to experiment with options to show the velocity direction with some kind of point object but in 3rd person it is difficult to interpret unless it is in 3d space and in that case it would constantly disappear behind objects so I will have to experiment and see if anything works. As long as the player is in an object-rich environment, there should be plenty of visual feedback to determine trajectory just from seeing the motion.
