Abyssus changes
It’s been a little over a month since we announced our update date, and the day is finally here! Brinehunters rejoice as we bring you more free content - as promised - alongside another optional, cosmetic-only supporter’s pack!
Whether Brinehunters have been getting in touch on socials or Discord (or sending a telegram - you know who you are) we’ve been listening. Update 1.3 brings the content that our Brinehunters have been asking for, and we’re live now with:
A new playable area - full of custom-built Brinepunk machinery and dripping with new challenges for veteran Brinehunters
Full cross-platform multiplayer - with our console launch, we’re expanding the pool of Brine-hunting comrades you can dive in with
An updated skill tree and new blessings - with more options for you to level up your approach and blast through the Abyss
A new God and fresh enemies - giving you more variety and mixing up the challenges you’ll face along the way
Not just one, but TWO new sea shanties - providing the perfect musical accompaniment as you make your way into the darkest depths
As ever, all update content is free for our loyal Brinehunters! We’ve been busy since Abyssus released in August, and with your support, our free updates now mean that Abyssus now has over 70 hand-crafted levels, 9 different weapons (customizable with 54 weapon mods), over 140 Ancient Forge mods, 36 different enemies and 12 bosses, and over 250 Charms and Blessings to craft the perfect build!
The Brinerot Supporters Pack is Also Available Now!
We pledged to you that updates would be free, and we’re sticking to it. But if you’re the kind of Brinehunter who wants to support further, we also have our usual optional and cosmetic-only supporters’ pack ready to go.
The Brinerot pack is here for all of you who want to sport that trendy “Rotten to the Core” look on the abyssal catwalk this season. Grabbing the Brinerot pack will deliver a new helmet and armor, a new emote, and a new frame, too.

We can’t wait for our Brinehunters to delve into the Abyss again with our 1.3 update. As ever, your feedback is critical to how Abyssus expands, and we want to send another huge thank you to all Brinehunters who have been providing your thoughts since we released last year (and some of you even before).
