Here’s what’s new:

Visual Overhaul

Lighting System Revamp

  • The entire lighting system has been reworked to enhance contrast between warm and cold tones, creating a more atmospheric and readable world.

New Lighting Effects

  • Pistol projectiles now light up their trajectory

  • Lumiflora checkpoints emit a soft, ambient glow

Environment & Assets Update

  • Textures and environmental props (piers, houses, and more) have been updated with higher detail and complexity.

Absymalith Rework

  • The parallel dimension is now darker, harsher, and more oppressive, with reduced purple tones and toned-down excessive lighting for a more unsettling feel.

Steam post image Gameplay & Level Design

Level Redesign

  • The level has been rebuilt from the ground up to feel more natural and less linear, while still improving overall navigation.

Dimensional Fractures

  • New visual indicators—fractures in space—now clearly show where rift powers can be used, both in Alderid and in the Absymalith.

Full Freedom Maintained

  • You can still switch dimensions anytime, anywhere that hasn’t changed.

Combat & Progression Updates

Absym Fragments Rework

  • Power-ups obtained in arenas have been completely redesigned

  • Fragments are now equipable and removable. They function similarly to the gem system from a certain Blood-something game, I'm sure you heard about it...

  • The corruption system remains, preventing excessive stacking(…or does it? We’re sure nothing bad will happen if you equip five at once).

Enemy AI Improvements

  • Enemy behaviors have been updated to create more challenging and engaging encounters.

Bug Fixes & Performance

  • Various bug fixes across the game.

  • Stability and performance improvements.

This is Absym, shaped by you.

Keep the feedback coming, and we’ll keep pushing it further. See you in the rift!
