Pets 2.0

Picking Up Pets

All pets can now be picked up so long as you have a free hotbar slot, not just

IS-0128-A

. You can pet them while holding them, and this means that anywhere a scientist can go a pet can go too. That includes those hefty peccaries! Lift with your knees!

Feeding pets may result in various anomalous effects, including permanently mutating the pet into a different type. Experiment away!

Chemistry System

You asked for a deep and wide Chemistry system that rewards experimentation and inquiry…. The Distillation Bench and the Chemistry Bench will now enable chemically-bound scientists to distill items into Distillations and then turn them into magnificent Concoctions, which can be created in three distinct types.

Investigate Tinctures that buff your science body in myriad strange and interesting ways - go fast, go big, go berserk, and that’s just for starters.

Explore Coatings that grant your weapons an array of weird, wonderful and wicked extra effects - confirm that scientific progress does indeed go boink… sometimes.

Concoct dangerous Flasks that deliver unique effects to deliver rapid aid to allies, intense harm to enemies, or just for pranking your colleagues! - discover just how far you can push your potion-making.

Chemistry Cosmetics

There’s a handful of new cosmetics you can equip yourself with - some are unlocked by default, and some require a little bit of investigation. Except for the labcoat - that’s part of the crossover nonsense. Ahh, you’ll figure it all out. You always have before.

To Be Blunt With You

For anyone who likes to “research” their way through the facility using Blunt melee weapons, we’ve dropped a few new “field study” devices to “perform research” on “the bodies and heads and faces” of your foes. You’ll really enjoy “hitting aliens
