addedI am pleased to inform you that version 2.0.0 of Abandoned Void is now available for download. As I told you in DevLog #1, the update is focused on all the feedback (both good and bad) that Abandoned Void has received from players. The list of changes is as follows:
fixed1- Random crashes have been fixed. 2- The game performance has been optimized in general. 3- Map lighting has been updated, giving better shading results. 4- Several sounds have been updated. 5- Changed the 12 endings from static images to animated scenes (the old endings were removed from the game, but I left them in a folder called "OldEndings" that you can find in the root folder of Abandoned Void). 6- The monster has been changed (This had to be done to allow animated scenes, since the old monster had too large limbs compared to Nicole's size, which caused "weird" scenes). 7- The "Babydoll" costume has been changed for another model without transparency (this was generating an important loss of performance). 8- Several characters (non-playable) that interact with the good endings have been added. 9- Added an extra option to the objective that indicates the first step to follow before starting to search the puzzle pages. 10- Added the option to skip cinematics with the 'X' key. 11- Adjusted the movement speed of the monster when it detects the player, this allows the player to have the opportunity to run away. 12- The display range of the monster has been reduced a little bit to give the player more chance to complete the level. 13- And maybe some other things that I am forgetting.
addedI know that this does not contemplate many other things that some players have asked for, such as character customization, for example. But fulfilling that and other things would demand a lot more time and effort, which I'm investing in the next game I'm developing. So, with that said, I also inform you that v2.0.0 of Abandoned Void will be the last one that will add more content to the game, any other version that comes will be only for bug fixes.
