addedOh man, where to start? However I have had to re-do a few cutscenes due to the original scenes getting corrupted or completely lost. But all has been re-done so now it's back to adding some finishing touches, the game still has a long way to go until it's finished as I have decided to add quite a few design changes, and I've been re-doing a LOT of old segments, back when I was first working on this game I was a pretty amateur programmer, now that I have learnt more since then, I've gone back to some old segments to completely reprogram everything so it works more smoothly. (no more framedrops now!)
addedNew Enemies, more ideas, new release date?I've been focusing a lot on the enemies in my game, can't really have an rpg game without some enemies to fight off, so I've been cooking up some new concepts for what some of the bad guys look like! Can't show much right now, but I've been implementing some pretty interesting designs, all will be revealed in due time! From now on I'll be posting monthly updates so that way you can all stay up to date with the games progress, no more being left in the dark! However, I can no longer confirm a specified release date for Chapter One, but I'll be aiming for a late 2026. No promises though. I've made a public Facebook page for my game, be sure to check it out! (I used to use Twitter/X to post game footage but I no longer use it.)
addedScreenshots!More things have been added! Can't show too much without spoilers but here's a little sneak peak of Chapter One, note that nothing here is final and WILL change in the final build!
addedScreenshots! One of the new enemies that you'll be encountering, be careful, you can't protect yourself fighting everything. Sometimes the best way to survive is by running away...
addedScreenshots!Steam post imageUsing a ship to find a new path, only for this new path to lead to more trouble... and familiar faces.
fixedSteam Page update:The steam page has been given a bit of a small update, I've fixed up the spelling mistakes and I've left a notice that the demo build has been retconned, meaning that everything you see in the demo build is no longer canon, when the full version of Chapter One is ready, the demo will be removed and the new version of Chapter One will have the canon story. Just thought I'd let you all know in advance!

Oh man, where to start?

Well, it's been almost a year since the last update, for starters, A Safe Place is not dead and is still in development! However, I should start explaining a few things.

So the game didn't reach its expected 2025 release date, I am really sorry about that. I may of accidently dropped my hard drive and may have lost a few files and spent a few hours recovering everything, the good news? I managed to recover almost everything!

New Enemies, more ideas, new release date?

I've been focusing a lot on the enemies in my game, can't really have an rpg game without some enemies to fight off, so I've been cooking up some new concepts for what some of the bad guys look like! Can't show much right now, but I've been implementing some pretty interesting designs, all will be revealed in due time! Over 100 downloads!

On a positive note, the demo of A Safe Place has it over 100 Downloads (About 140 downloads at the time of posting this). Thank you all so much for this, I never thought we'd hit such a milestone, couldn't of done it without all of you!

Screenshots!

More things have been added! Can't show too much without spoilers but here's a little sneak peak of Chapter One, note that nothing here is final and WILL change in the final build!

One of the new enemies that you'll be encountering, be careful, you can't protect yourself fighting everything. Sometimes the best way to survive is by running away...

Falling to your demise isn't the best way to go out, if only something (or someone) could break your fall?

Steam Page update:

The steam page has been given a bit of a small update, I've fixed up the spelling mistakes and I've left a notice that the demo build has been retconned, meaning that everything you see in the demo build is no longer canon, when the full version of Chapter One is ready, the demo will be removed and the new version of Chapter One will have the canon story. Well, that's it for now, see you all next month! And happy (late) valentines day! : )
