State of the Game

Hi everyone!

It's been a second since my last update about the game so I wanted to give a few updates on the progress so far. As some may not know A Philosophical Discussion of Worms was made as part of my senior capstone project for my bachelors in Fine Arts. That being said there were a few things I was unable to get done for this game as a whole in the time frame I was given. That being said I have pushed back the expected Q2 2026 release to late Q3 2026 to give me time to rework some aspects that I was unable to get done.

What does this mean for A Philosophical Discussion of Worms?

More content, CGs, better sound effects and music, and a host of other changes that never made it into the demo of the game. Since the full release will be paid I want to create the most polished version of it that I can.

Currently I am reworking the ending of the game to be closer to what I had originally planned, as well as reediting some scenes to make better narrative flow. I am also working to make the game as download friendly as possible and not take up nearly as much storage as it has been slowly creeping up to in testing.

I plan to keep the amount of chapters in the demo the same so that people who have played before the update can still enjoy the length of the original demo. The full game will be over 100k words which would be roughly 7 hours of game play.

The coming chapters will really start to dive into what is happening in this house, and what is haunting the characters at every turn. New characters will be introduced and the mystery gets...more confusing.
