What's next?

A Little Age has done quite well for itself during Next Fest and the following days. I'm sure it's mostly due to the cool YouTubers that decided it was interesting enough to cover on their channels.

Over two thousand people played the Demo. And I got quite a bit of feedback! Took me a couple of days to go through it all :)

I think the general consensus is that the game is fun but could have more things to do, I think people agree there's potential, which is very exciting to me. The main thing is that it seems my own ideas of what to improve align with the feedback overall.

Besides improving things like pacing and balance, there're a couple of new systems I'll be working on.

PLANED FEATURES

Some of the more impactful planned new gameplay features are these:

  • Roads: An emergent system, roads form where people walk. This has already been implemented :)

  • RiversA new addition to the world generation, they'll make for a more interesting world to play in.
  • Building Upgrades: Buildings will start as "rustic", and you'll be able to upgrade them one or two levels depending on the building type.

  • New Buildings: Bridge to cross rivers. Fishinghut to extract food from lakes. And a Guardtower, to name a few :)

Besides these, there's a long list of common requests and quality of life features I'll be working on as well.

PLAYTEST

I have re-enabled the playtest button and you can already request access. It'll start in 3-4 weeks and will include most, if not all of the planned Alpha features. And you'll be notified when you are granted access to it.

I will be updating the Demo to a third version once the playtest concludes.

RELEASE DATE

Another important piece of news is that the release date is currently set to August 28, 2026!
