8-Bit Adventures 2 changes
Celebrating two years since launch, players can now download a completely free update which adds a brand new post-game dungeon, accessible after finishing the main story. This is our ultimate 'thank you' to players, and a lot of hard work has gone into making a reality.
Meanwhile, anyone who hasn’t picked up the game can get the PC version for 50% off via a Steam Daily Deal, or pre-order the new physical editions from Limited Run Games before the 26th of January!
About the Free Content Update
Players must hunt powerful super bosses through a huge, open dungeon, in order to save the life of a beloved party member and uncover the mysteries of the Sandman – a decaying wizard with ancient ties to the villainous Glitch. Players have requested more challenging encounters, so this new content delivers the hardest – and most creative – battles in the game!
But it’s not just dungeon-crawling; this update adds a new town, the ability for players to upgrade their ultimate equipment, four new music tracks, and a rich story which builds on the core game’s ending.
New Post-Game Dungeon with 50+ rooms to explore in any order and nine unique regions – including a Prison, Swamp, Desert, and Hotel!
8 Challenging Super Bosses with totally new mechanics – by far the most challenging enemies in the game!
Meet the Sandman – experience a rich bonus narrative which expands on the game’s lore and characters.
Find Dreamstones to upgrade your Ultimate Weapons and Armour, or EXP Bursts to boost towards max level – you’ll need both to survive!
Four New Music Tracks from returning composer Carfonu.
A New Town only hinted at in the main game, now fully restored.
4-5 Bonus Hours of Gameplay, completely free!

Thanks to Limited Run Games, 8-Bit Adventures 2 is receiving a physical edition! Complete with brand new artwork by famed comic book artist Ryan Jampole, and an 8-page manual, fans can order the game for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.

P.S. I also fixed some bugs!
Fixed a minor collision bug in the Sky Forge.
Fixed a bug where the game could infinitely Game Over when entering a certain cutscene in Azureus.
Fixed the Clockwork Controller fight in the Arena, preventing softlocks from happening in the future.
Fixed a bug in the City of Sounds, where resting at the Inn after completing the dungeon would change the music to an incorrect song.
Fixed a bug which would allow players to accidentally take the Snowcraft to other regions, removing their ability to sprint or interact properly.
Fixed a bug where if you opened treasure chests underwater as the Robot character, the wrong sprite would appear.
Fixed a bug on console where landing your Airship in the desert, fighting a battle there, taking off in the Airship, and landing again would cause the game to crash.
Fixed a bug which prevented the Emergency Haste Augment from working as intended.
