What is the game about? The story takes place in Lumira Star's Glowdew Town. The protagonist, Lowie, is a student who isn't good at magic. Half a year ago, she somehow merged with an energy entity called "Stellaris," and has since passively taken on the duty of protecting the town. She's accustomed to recording her investigations and experiences in a diary, and players will progress through levels by selecting diary entries. Through platforming, box-pushing, and mechanisms (launch pads, weight-bearing platforms, key doors, etc.), you'll unravel the truth behind "Stellaris" and the mystery surrounding the enigmatic character, Starnight. Lowie's partner Feo (a witch who can use magic), her mother Lona, and the townsfolk will also appear in the demo's story and levels. The overall story leans towards light sci-fi + magic + mystery, with multi-language support (Simplified Chinese / Traditional Chinese / English / Japanese / Korean).
Gameplay and Positioning
Platforming: Focuses on controls and level design.
Sandbox Puzzles: Box-pushing, weight-bearing platforms, key doors, and coordination of multiple mechanisms. Some levels feature story nodes (allowing you to review the story or jump straight into the level).
Difficulty & New Game+: After clearing the game, you can unlock Hard Mode, featuring tougher enemies and enhanced mechanics for players seeking another challenge.
Story Presentation: Multi-language dialogue + character portraits. Chapters interweave levels with story segments.
The game's positioning is: "a 2D platformer with a story." It's not a Metroidvania or a roguelike; it's closer to a "level-driven with narrative embellishments" approach, with the scale and style of an indie title.
What "Lowie's Diary" aims to be is: "a game where you can jump, push boxes, solve puzzles, and have an adventure worth recording in a diary." The demo will be available on Steam soon. Feel free to leave any thoughts on the market, gameplay feel, story, or future direction in the comments—we'll carefully read every single one.
Thank you all!
