스페셜포스 리마스터 changes
Hello, This is the Special Force Remastered Development Team.
It has already been around 40 days since Special Force Remastered launched in Early Access on March 25. Although there have been various issues, both big and small, your support has helped us continue moving forward step by step. There are still many challenges ahead, but we believe we can overcome them together with our Operatives. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your continued support.
That said, we would also like to be honest with you. From launch through April, there were areas where we were not fully prepared, and as a result, many Operatives experienced inconvenience while playing the game. Even considering that the game is currently in Early Access, this is our responsibility, and we sincerely apologize.
In particular, as we prioritized stability improvements, bug fixes, and urgent tasks, we were unable to keep maintenance schedules, times, and notice details as consistent as they should have been. Because we had to focus on the immediate issues at hand, we were also unable to properly share the overall roadmap. As a result, we understand that it was difficult for you to see the direction of upcoming updates or the current development progress.
We fully understand this concern as well. However, as mentioned above, stability and urgent fixes had to take priority, which caused the roadmap announcement to be delayed. We kindly ask for your understanding, and starting in May, we would like to improve our operation process and share our update schedule and development roadmap with you.
📌 Operation and Update Schedule Changes
Going forward, we aim to provide a more predictable update environment based on the following guidelines:
Regular maintenance and updates will be held once every two weeks
Maintenance is planned for the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
Schedule changes may occur due to public holidays or other circumstances.
Maintenance notices will be posted at least 24 hours before maintenance begins
The actual maintenance duration may vary depending on the work required, but the notice will be posted at least 24 hours in advance.
Update previews will be posted between Wednesday and Friday during non-maintenance weeks
This applies to weeks without maintenance, such as the 1st and 3rd weeks of each month.
If there is not much to share or if details are still difficult to explain, we will still try to provide a simple list.
Patch notes will be posted no later than one day before maintenance
These will include more confirmed details compared to the update preview.
We understand that there has not been enough communication regarding “current development work” and “upcoming planned updates.” Going forward, we will do our best to share as much information as possible in advance through this fixed schedule.
📌 May–July Development Roadmap
Below is the current development roadmap set internally by the development team for May through July.
This roadmap is based on our current internal plan, and some schedules may change or additional items may be added depending on development progress. However, we will do our best to update content and features according to this plan as our overall direction.
Characters, weapons, and other cosmetic items that are not included in this roadmap are expected to be added roughly once per month, depending on development progress. Other items such as bug fixes, polishing, optimization, security improvements, user convenience improvements, and feedback-based changes will continue to be worked on and applied regularly outside of this roadmap. Additionally, for new maps after the 4th week of June, we are currently aiming to add them sometime in August.
As mentioned earlier, we will do our best to provide at least a brief preview of each update at least one week before it is applied.
Going forward, we will continue improving the game so that Operatives can experience more stable operations and visible changes. Every message of encouragement, support, concern, and criticism toward the development team is being carefully reviewed regardless of its size or importance, and we will do our best to turn that feedback into better results.
Thank you for your continued interest and support.
