Repeated intro
Hello Everyone!
What changed
- Workshop
- Server
- Events
- Store
In this announcement I would like to catch up to speed everyone who is actively watching this project and it's development. I am going to go over some of the crucial points regarding what was going on in the workshop for the past few months, the current state of the game and plans for the future.
Workshop: Since I am solo developer of this project and life threw a few challenges my way, things have been progressing slower over the last two months than expected. Never the less, project was not put on hold and I am proud to announce that the game will soon have a new and big update. A while back I decided to create and add three special events / levels to my game. These events are going to contain vastly different game style, mechanics and game loops than the original platformer game style. The reasoning behind this decision is to break the game into several pieces and presenting the players new challenges and mechanics, refreshing the experience of playthrough. These event's will however still focus heavily on cooperation and teamwork, and will put a new spin on the already all to known game mechanics, similar to the original gameplay loops of first worlds of this game. Game will now break the worlds flow with events every third world: - World 1
- World 2
- World 3 (Event)
- etc.
*Important note: The game is, as before, playable with only 1 player, making it easy / semi-easy experience and I am dedicated to make the game accessible to as many potential users as I can, making it from super easy platformer to speed run oriented teams trying to master it. However - the core idea and intended experience lies in multiplayer and cooperation. That is where this project really shines.
New event mechanics scale with the number of players in a session, so don't forget to check how the game evolves with players.
Current state of the game:
The game is currently being polished and prepared to become the demo version of the full project. The demo will contain first 3 worlds and all features presented so far. In preparation for my demo release, I will soon be shutting down open playtest so I can implement this update with ease and care. The game will still be open to testers who reach out to me via our social media or Discord routes with intend to create more direct communications with my testers and community. Being solo developer, feedback is one of the most valuable resources that I can get and I hope that by choosing the testers for the creation of the demo I will be able to establish more trust and get more feedback that will hopefully help shape the demo to be the best it can be.
- Future plansPlaytest is expected to be closed sometime this month in preparation of new features and levels. Closed Playtest will continue for those who reach me, so if you are interested, don't forget to join our Discord and help build the community. New patch will feature, new player skill, new player skins, improved difficulty settings, improved UI, new level with entirely new gameplay loop and mechanics, new game mode - Race, bug fixes for Arena mode and so much more. After polishing the game the plan is to make a final demo version of the game to be released on Steam. I believe everyone should be able to play the product and try it out before making a decision to buy or back it in any way. Expected timeline for demo release is March 2026. but I will strife to release it sooner if possible. I do however need to mention that life keeps putting hard challenges my way so there is a possibility that I will be unable to do so, or radio silent for a while. If you are actively watching the project, reach out via social media or discord, have fun on open playtest while it lasts and thank you for your support.
