I've also made the negotiation mechanics a bit stricter so that they feel both more logical and more challenging. Characters can no longer be promised outcomes that are unlikely to occur in the foreseeable future. In addition, the voting system has been reworked, making results more predictable. A detailed list of changes can be found below:

Negotiation System Reworked:

  • Deals can now contain a maximum of 4 proposals

  • Proposals from the opposing side that they were already willing to support now provide less concern

  • Voting can only be requested for laws that have already been introduced, and for appointments or dismissals that have already been formally proposed

Voting System Fixed:

  • Fixed a bug where independent deputies would always vote against proposals. Their decisions are now influenced by the public support of the law or character in question. Preliminary voting results now provide a more realistic prediction of the final outcome

Input Fields Improved:

  • A scrollbar has been added to the list of available options

  • Options can now be scrolled using the mouse wheel

  • Filled input fields now feature a clear button

  • Pressing Backspace immediately clears a filled field

Linux Build Reworked:

  • The game now launches through NW.js, which should resolve startup issues

Minor Improvements and Fixes:

  • Added Steam Overlay support

  • The Esc key now exits the negotiation screen, legislative process screen, character selection screen, and settings menu while in the pause menu

  • Fixed the description of the Individual Labor Activity Act

  • Corrected typos

  • Various other minor bug fixes
