v1.0.2 Update Notes
Hello everyone, and thank you for supporting 17 Steps. This update focuses on improving match feedback, single-player AI behavior, tutorial text, and several UI elements.
New Features
Added an interactive click effect to the app logo on the main menu.
Added voice announcements for match start, Riichi, Ura-Dora reveal, and dealing into an opponent’s winning tile.
Added a new animation effect when declaring Riichi.
Added visual feedback and animation when dealing in, making the dealt-in tile much easier to notice.
Added Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud Save support.
Note: These features are not fully implemented yet.
UI and Experience Improvements
Updated the result window UI.
Added the dealt-in tile to the result window.
Reworked the single-player mode window layout in the main menu.
Integrated match settings for different modes, such as score and difficulty, into one unified window.
Updated the text for both the beginner tutorial and in-match tutorial to make the instructions clearer.
Single-Player AI Improvements
Improved the AI algorithm in single-player mode, including:
Reduced cases where the AI fails to meet the required Yaku value.
Reduced cases where the AI chooses too many single-wait Tenpai patterns, such as Seven Pairs.
Reduced the AI’s over-reliance on Suji-based tile safety judgment.
Thank you to everyone who has purchased and played 17 Steps so far. If you encounter any issues or have suggestions, feedback is always welcome.
