残阳 1645/1937 changes
Steam Next Fest is Now Live
Our second demo for Afterglow has been released, featuring a substantial script of over 100,000 words—plenty to immerse yourself in! We’ve just emerged from an intense battle against bugs late into the night, and we’re thrilled to have pushed through.
With so many exciting new titles launching tonight, we hope you enjoy exploring them—perhaps at a pace that lets you savor each one! More than anything, we just want players to have a great time.
Curious about the cover art? The answer lies within the demo itself—give it a try (we’d be delighted!).
For those new to Afterglow, here’s a brief introduction:
This is a historical narrative adventure with dual timelines. Players will step into two pivotal moments—the Ten Days of Yangzhou in 1645 and the Defense of Yangzhou in 1937—taking on the role of a surviving soldier tasked with protecting someone important amid chaos. Your choices will ripple across three centuries, shaping intertwined destinies.
Connecting these two historical periods is not merely for analogy; it draws from documented coincidences and echoes in historical records. Through this game, we aim to give voice to the ordinary, often unnamed individuals whose lives were inevitably woven into these events—stories left in the margins of history.
